Can you believe that people actually Google how to stop eating, yet what they really want to know is how to stop putting on weight, or overeating or eating in an uncontrolled manner, so let’s have a look at whether they are asking the right question from the get-go.
People want to be slim and slender, the media tells us that’s how we’re meant to look but when we see magazine images and so on we forget that the editor is armed with their trusty friend Photoshop the handy photo editor.
I hope we all agree that being pixel thin is an unreasonable ambition, if we also want to enjoy life. But I know from experience that what most of you want to address is the way you eat, because when you run to food for comfort, it feels out-of-your-control and that isn’t so great.
Emotional Eating Help Is At Hand
Emotional eating is what lies behind poor eating habits, it’s absolutely not about the food. We can eat healthy foods for sure in order to get the body into a lean mean fat-burning machine, but more often than not it’s the emotional drivers that sit behind the eating patterns that need to be addressed.
This is what we do at KTDH in order to leave your head freer to make better food choices and this works to free you of the need to run anywhere for anything, especially food-for-cover, and once that lifts your eating automatically changes.
This Is What Kelly Had To Say About It:
“For as long as I can remember, I have had strong desires to over-eat and to satisfy my sweet tooth. As an adult I would tend to resist these cravings most days, but in the end the feeling of dissatisfaction would eventually take over, leading me to binge eating, followed by extreme guilt for what I was doing to my poor body.
As soon as I started working with Jane, big changes started happening with my relationship with food. I stopped thinking about the next meal of the day, and I stopped ‘needing’ a dessert to appease my sweet tooth. After 4 sessions my cravings seemed to have vanished, and I’m not really sure how it happened!
Jane’s techniques seemed strange to me at first, but I soon warmed up to it when I started seeing results. Without even trying I have lost almost a stone since we started working together! I found Jane to be really easy to talk to, and I have never felt judged. She is very intuitive and seems to always know what to say to bring about a new level of awareness in me.
As a colonic hydrotherapist and nutritionist, I understand how common it is to struggle with food issues, and I see how tempting it is for people to try and find unhealthy, quick fix solutions to stay slim. I always discourage dieting for my clients, but I feel very happy to recommend Jane to them if they are trying to lose weight in a healthy way.”
And Kelly was delightful to work with, she made the changes, I was the mediator supporting the outcome she desired. What she didn’t mention was that during those sessions we addressed many things that were driving her stressful eating patterns, and once those were allayed her eating automatically changed, as well as the things that drove the unwanted behaviours.
