Clearing space for the future and making personal change using EFT Tapping are so similar. That although I’ve likened it to redecorating a room before were really stark as I sat watching the Netflix show: The Minimalists: Less Is Now?
What did you think about it?
I kind of fell in love with it 🩷
I got that born-again feeling, like you do 😊 where anything seems possible.
Then I realised the premise of the show resonates, because it aligns so much with my big old philosophies for making personal change.
As a bit of a confessional, I’m continuing to work with a wonderful practitioner over the last six months on a handful of interconnected issues that needed a kick up the proverbial.
I’m not sure she’s on here, but Katherine Willow is a fourth generation naturopathic doctor in Canada and I just love her 😄
A bit like the chef who never cooks at home, I had to feel ready for making some big changes, until I was ready to be open to going deeper to address nutritional tweaks.
I’d wanted to work with her before and not managed to make it happen, but this time knowing what I wanted meant I could succeed in getting it, without a blip.
What Are The Changes You Want
Once you’re open to being specific, about what you want makes all the difference in achieving it. As recently passed Gary Craig said about getting the best out of his wonderful EFT Tapping Techniques:
“If you want to be terrific you have to be specific.”
The techniques have helped me so much since I qualified in 2008, which has led to now and why I love supporting creatives to get out of their own way.
Especially when they’re someone who’s vulnerable to falling headfirst into a challenging situation, or find themselves dealing with people who carelessly trample over others sensitivities without noticing.
But making noticeable change requires commitment, you can’t be half-in-half-out about it if you want to experience a heartfelt significant difference.
The time needs to be right, because the way I work requires commitment, where its not just a case of having sessions and doing nothing in-between.
It’s your life, you want change, you have to be willing to show up and do the work.
Making Change Is Like Clearing A Room
So, it shares common ground with The Minimalists: The Time Is Less where you don’t notice the space in-between things i.e. what really matters, until you clear out what’s blocking the view.
It asks you to invest in yourself, so why would you just tinker round the edges.
All that said, I’m going to start small with my space clearing efforts, because I’m focused on making inner lifestyle changes right now.
So, I’m going to venture into the box packing shenanigans – this weekend – with one small box, in one small corner.
And I’m looking forward to the taster to see if it bears fruit.
Now, similarly, if you want to dip your toe into EFT Tapping then message me, because I’m updating my freebie A Simple Guide To EFT Tapping (for Creatives) if you’d like a copy – when it’s ready – which is coming soon once I get my website open again hmmm!!! This month.
At the very least it will help you check in to see if you’re going in the right direction, for what you want to achieve longer term.
