A few years ago, I ran an in-person group course for creatives – Ramp Up Your Talents.
A lovely talented local artist found the benefit for her was something I wanted to share because it’s so common for any parent.
Being All Present And Correct
She walked away from the course with the ability to separate her creative time and her home life without each encroaching on the other.
If you’ve had similar frustrations where your time gets eaten up with settling from one compartment of your life into the next between home and work.
It reminds me of Neil from The Young Ones, where he’s just about laid out his paraphernalia, rulers, pencils and gonks on his desk in readiness, when the examiner says ‘Time Up’ 🙂
We all need the heart and headspace to be available when we need it, not when the nervous system and brain feels ready, i.e. you can retrain your brain to behave in a way that’s useful to you as and when.
My approaches result in being able to be full-on in your creative workspace and ready to play full-out in the present when home with your kids and partner.
Who wouldn’t find this useful?
Not only does it save time, energy and the angst of not being adaptable enough as quickly as you’d like, it also creates more impetus for the quality of mindset you need at any given time.
It puts you in the driving seat.
The Feedback
This is what she fed back:
“I was unsure about taking the Ramp Up Your Talents Programme, but it’s been invaluable and given me more than enough resources to implement into my creative practice going forwards. Jane is friendly, open, responsive, constructive, supportive and fun to work with.”
If this is something you can relate to and would like to have something similar in your everyday quality of life, drop me a line and we’ll organise a chat.
