When your health is out-of-whack, an all-round-programme of getting you back into feeling vibrant so you can engage with life again is so important, because it will lead you into the next chapter of your life feeling fully energised, engaged and active.
Having obtained a medical diagnosis you need to begin by doing some due diligence, which can begin with getting more than one traditional opinion, don’t just take the first doctor’s word, especially if it doesn’t resonate with you. Feeling satisfied with what you’re hearing is the first step into recovery.
And dare I say it sometimes doctors get it wrong, they’re both human and work to incredibly tight deadlines, mistakes are inevitable.
Seek out more than one opinion, which is even more important when it comes to dealing with a terminal prognosis. Do as much research as you can online, offline, talk to people, get informed, give it your full attention.
This could well take you into the realms of alternative health, where it’s challenging to know what’s what, especially when it’s all new.
Yet again make enquiries, get recommendations, have conversations. Here’s a list of why you need more than one approach to get back into optimum health and why:

- It takes the pressure off your doctor because it’s your problem, not theirs

One really easy way of testing both fields, the allopathic and the alternative is to have conversations, and get a feel for the practitioner, if you resonate with everyone you’re involving in your hand-picked health team, you’re far more likely to make a full and thorough recovery, and you’ll reach a point where it becomes enjoyable. This is about priorities.

Communication is a key component of returning to good health, as you re-educate and make some long-term tweaks in your own attitudes and behaviours that lead into lasting change.
It’s very old-school to accept a poor bedside manner, make sure you work with people you can talk to.

It’s about getting you back into the best quality of health you can achieve, through a strong range of positive attitudes, and methods of working. These should be transparent and accountable.
Good health is reached through a number of methods among which you can include:
- The bio-chemical help your doctor provides through, tests, examinations, intervention, a drugs regime, and an intention of reducing everything to zero over time
- The physical help your body needs to move itself by using a favourite programme, or something newly designed for you
- The nutritional support your body needs and any adaptations needed, albeit temporary or otherwise
- The emotional change needed in order to adapt yourself to a new understanding of what is happening, how any challenges came about, and making it be different going forward
Making substantial change brings it’s own rewards and is often left until it’s long overdue, maybe you’re feeling ready to do things a little differently in order to restore your health once and for all.
