EFT Summit – Day 1 …

Delays Create Bonuses

The OwlThe EFT Summit went live last night but there were massive problems with the servers … due to 40,000 people having registered and wanting to log on simultaneously … there were delays.

But it did kick off and I heard it around 20 mins after the due start time …

There was a choice of two speakers … Nick Ortner (the director of Try It On Everything and organizer of the EFT Summit) who gave a good interview to his sister, Jessica, the host of the series.

Nick OrtnerIt gave him an opportunity to explain what the event is about and how much had gone into organizing it.

Of course apologies came through the following day to announce that extra servers had been installed …  Problem solved.  An exciting if intense time-slot (if you’re going to get through it on the FREE arrangement within the 9-day window) … I don’t know about you but I like a challenge …

Ready set …. go …

As for the bonuses … we’ll just have to wait and see ….

Bernadette Doyle …

More Leads – More Clients – More Sales

The OwlJust came off a call speaking with Bernadette … she’s holding a wonderful event in Belfast from 7-9 May and I plan to be there …

If you’re looking to grow your business and are ready to take the plunge then get on board and come along – there aren’t many slots left and the total group size is only 70-people – which is a great for networking yet avoiding overwhelm from the crowd.

Cash RegisterI can’t wait …  Its going to be AWESOME … and you don’t come away thinking I’ve got to do this this this and this … you develop your business vision and implementation plan as you go through the weekend.   And you spend one day purely on Sales – the thing that most of us have hangups with … So you’ll learn to overcome these too …

If it speaks to you then sign up and Grow Your Business the biggest of your ambitions …

Here’s a link to check it out and take another opportunity to listen again to a 3-pt Tele-seminar to get you to leap into the unknown and grow yourself in your business …

Enjoy …

Life’s Abundance – Pt 1 …

Energy Therapy

The OwlThis is becoming increasingly popular, especially EFT (Emotional Field Therapy).  It features greatly in relation to Life’s Abundance (perhaps more than Health) and is gaining interest during the economic ‘downturn’.

As a qualified AAMET approved EFT Practitioner I’ll confidently recommend EFT as a very effective tool when administered well.  Gary Craig developed EFT out of Roger Callahan’s TFT (Thought Field Therapy) and its been accessible to all, especially in the light of Gary Craig’s rather spiritual approach as he lays no dominant claim.

What Does It Mean To You

Gary CraigThere is a great cross-over between Abundance and Health and today we’ll look mainly at Abundance.  Now lets start with the preconception that people often have around the word ‘Abundance’, because there seem to be two interpretations.  There is the term that gets applied only in association with Wealth, that in terms of the Law of Attraction is a bit of a no-no because its just too one-dimensional.  And that brings us nicely to a broader understanding of the word, and has a much greater impact for ourselves and others, because its about community, paying it forwards, and synchronicity.  There are other implications such as” but for me more importantly the although money is part of Abundance there are many more elements:

How we treat others

  • Share things / food / ideas
  • Accept others for who they are rather than wanting them to conform to our ideas of how a person ’should’ be
  • Treat others as well as we treat ourselves and our nearest and dearest.

How we treat ourselves

  • Do we honor our bodies (are we connected to what our body needs at a particular time or do we conform to what is going on around us or what is traditionally required (doing set things at set times of the day – an itinerary imposed from outside the home, i.e. work commitments etc).
  • Do we give ourselves to love and passion or do we hold back (perhaps we’re fearful of being hurt or looking foolish)?
  • Are we comfortable in ‘our own skin’ or ever mindful of conforming to the stereotypes of the social and religious conventions?
  • Do we follow a hobby to the enth degree because we love it or do we approach it half-heartedly because we may appear a bit geek-ish?
  • Do we play with our children at their level and keep our ‘inner child’ alive or do we look on and refrain from the game?
  • Do we  speak to our children as small people or do we talk in some childish language that disconnects us and them from life and social development?
  • Do we work all the hours, convinced its for a greater good (providing for the family, the future, etc)?
  • Do we work at something we absolutely love to do and wake up in the morning eager to get to work?
  • Do we toil all year and have little to show for it or do we have a master plan to take us towards an early retirement?
  • Do we assume that anyone who aspires to have financial independence is someone who is greedy and looking to take advantage of others?

These questions provide some food for thought and next time we’ll look at the importance of how we’ve answered these.

I’d love to hear your thougthts on Abundance.

Four Action Principles

The OwlHere’s a really interesting article about the 4-Action Principles of building and strengthening the structure of Your Small Therapy/Coaching Business or Practice (BSSYAB).

It can be likened to being like a house it has to be able to withstand the forces of time and nature. And the two components are:

  • The Foundations of the Right Mindset – the right support system and the application of timeless success principles
  • The Structure – that makes up the right actions that need to be taken for your business

Once your foundation is secure … with a mindset that pushes you past your self-limiting beliefs, it’s time to build and strengthen the structure of your small business or practice by taking 4-actions that involve the ongoing study and application of success principles:

  • Define It – Discover your uniqueness and create your brand by making a platform from which you’ll share your message with the world
  • Market It – Identify your target market / ideal client by developing and sustaining a relationship with your same
  • Fuel It – Generate leads and keep your pipeline full
  • Leverage It – Networking off and online and through social networking, by creating joint venture opportunities; with your own products and services that create residual and leveraged income

Business IdeasHere in Part One of the series, we’ll examine the first part, defining your small business / practice; discovering your uniqueness, creating your brand.

PT 1 – Discover Your Uniqueness

My first question is:

What would you say is unique about your business practice?  The chances are you may well give some features of your business., such as:

  • My Therapy practice has a team of highly trained experts who keep up to date with techniques through continued training courses
  • We have a newsletter that highlights special offers and offer Health tips
  • We offer complimentary beverages
  • With product lines that are industry leaders
  • We use a cutting-edge software program that keeps track of the products customers buy, sets appointments for a year in advance

The Benefits

However the aspects that make your business unique come from further exploration than these surface attributes. It’s the benefits you offer – not the features – that make you unique.  And it’s important to dig deeper to explore all the benefits that your practice offer clients. Some of these examples may be:

  • Clients leave our practice feeling rejuvenated having shifted their issue
  • Clients always leave feeling heard, listened to, valued and relaxed
  • Clients don’t have to spend time researching what the most appropriate products are because we source them on their behalf, some of which they’ll have sampled as part of their treatments and being available to browse.
  • Because you are so up-to-date clients can rely on your information and treatments

Here’s an exercise to help you get in touch with your uniqueness.  List as many Benefits you can think of that your clients receive by doing business with you.  Be as imaginative as possible, don’t hold back, and don’t be shy about blowing your own horn – root ta toot …

Create Your Brand

What makes people care about your business is how well you satisfy their wants and how you make them feel in the process. And this experience is fundamental to creating your brand.

What is a brand?  Firstly, this is what IT IS NOT:

  • Your company logo
  • Your tag line
  • Your business card : brochure : letterhead : website
  • Your products or services
  • Your niche area
  • Your marketing or advertising

The Full Impact

However your brand should come through in everything you do, like your product, services, identity package, website and marketing.  Brand consists of two components:

  • What clients experience when they have contact with your business practice
  • How clients feel after they buy or use your products or services

Whats Your Buying Experience

Examine any well-known brands and see if you can identify your experiences in using them and what your perceptions are, and how you feel after doing business with them.  Clients respond to integrity and authenticity, and its up to you to provide the consistent opportunities for them to have this experience and perception of you and your business.

Market Leaders

Branding is for every business no matter what size.  Having a brand not only gives you a competitive edge and positions you as a market leader.  Going through the branding process helps you to experience your company through a fresh pair of eyes, because it takes time and thought to delve deeply into discovering your uniqueness and building your brand but you can begin the process by also answering the following questions:

  • How do you want clients to feel when they buy from you and your services
  • What do you want clients to say about you after they have bought from you or used you services
  • Now begin to think of ways that you can create this experience for them and this will get you started on the amazing journey of creating your brand

Next Time

In the next part of the series, we’ll examine the second component of defining your business  practice in creating the platform from which you’ll take your message out to the world.
