I had a bit of a wavy-davy week, with some really great aspects but some senses of missed communication, which is where being rather mindful of tone and timbre are so key, especially when it comes to the written word.
Words can so easily lend themselves to misinterpretation when the wind is blowing in the wrong direction 🙂 Or is it the way I’m holding my mouth :).
I found myself wondering if Mercury Retrograde was back, but having just left I realised it couldn’t be that (although I’m a new recruit to Rx as people affectionately call it, despite it’s shenanigans).
Back in October I lost my long established Skype account during one of those meltdowns, which ended in having to start a brand new one knowing while knowing the original one is still floating around in the ether.
And if I wasn’t already converted, that experience (and if you’ve ever dealt with the non-existent support at Skype you’ll likely be feeling quite empathetic right now) was quite the convincer!
And last week I believe that the tools I’m sharing at the workshop are what saved my bacon, and that’s most of why it’s prompted me to write this post.
Don’t let me be misunderstood
Do you know the Eric Burden & The Animals song of the same title? That could have been written for me, for the longest time.
But now it’s different.
Yes people misunderstand me, people are bound to misunderstand us because we all have own perspectives on things.
But now it doesn’t buckle me at the knees, because I can sift through the strands and work out what’s going on, and use tools that help me determine my best path through the maize, and lean in the best direction for all concerned.
Challenging but as I’ll always work towards a win:win, it’s easier to see if it’s me or if it’s them, and subsequently the best way to progress.
And this is very different compared with how things used to be.
When I took Karl Dawson’s Matrix Reimprinting Practitioner course in 2010, he sent round a sheet with a range of emotions on it and asked everyone to chose just one.
I chose Misunderstood, and it helped me connect with how much of a theme it had been for me.
How To Succeed In Relationships Workshop
The workshop is now truly sorted, things are filtering through as the workshop get’s formulated.
And this will definitely raise it’s head at the workshop, because getting clarity on matters is key for self-care and being able to accept other people’s perspectives without having to be mowed down by them.
In other words we can maintain our integrity!
The 21st is aimed at allowing people to get the most from it, and I’ve decided to add ongoing virtual group support afterwards to continue the group dynamic. This way people will get some real mileage out of the experience, by co-supporting one another, having inbuilt swap partners with me wading in when needed.
The day is for you if you’re wanting to break free of an outworn relationship with someone, a situation, or a thing, i.e. food cravings would be a good example here, it’s anywhere you become overwhelmed and feel the control slipping from your grasp.
My question for you is, when that occurs, what happens next? What’s your go-to strategy that zones you out of dealing with feeling that way? Because that’s what we do… we develop other strategies, and before we know it, we’ve got a new habit on our hands, in addition to not dealing with the initial issue.
And those experiences last week found me becoming mindful in terms of who I think would especially benefit from the workshop, because of the difference it will make, because:
This has the potential to move you out of broken connections and patterns of behaviour
It’ll be especially useful if:
- You’re stuck on a hamster wheel of attracting the ‘wrong’ person (for you) into ‘love’ relationships and you want to break the cycle
- You’re single and want to move past something or someone (even when you feel you’ve tried everything)
- You’re prone to impatience, that get’s the better of you, by being your first port of call
- You’re sceptical about changing something or someone that triggers you (I positively encourage some good old healthy scepticism, and you’ll find out why on the day) 🙂
- You want these changes 110%, and feel ready to pay them some serious attention
- You’re ready to surprise yourself by exploring some of the most cutting-edge approaches found anywhere today
- You wear a professional hat, and want the 6-hrs CPD that AAMET International have credited the day with
- You want to have a practical day of dipping into some ground-breaking tools that make the difference
- You want to make noticeable change without having to get upset over the past
AAMET 6-Hrs CPD
It’s a bit of a coup to get the entire day accredited by AAMET for 6-hrs CPD (Continued Professional & Personal Development), and I’m appreciative of their flexibility, because overall the day gives you:
The tools to take away and continue building a personal favourites toolkit for new beginnings!
And of course there will be other lovely tools as the day is geared to move you into a sense of feeling more centred, calm and in charge of your life. Ready to redesign the parts that aren’t quite gelling.
30-hrs CPD is a requirement that AAMET as my professional body wants me to undertake annually, to ensure I continue my own personal development through personal work, and keep updated within my professional and related fields.
Not that I’ve ever needed encouraging, I’m so passionate about spreading the lurve of how well these tools work.
And this stems purely from what I’ve experienced first hand and the changes I’ve supported others to bring about in themselves.
Last week I shared one of my old favourites with someone I’ve taught to use EFT Tapping on herself, in order to encourage her to take what she’s gained from the difference this tool made for her, by teaching her kids to use the tool, as an emotional band-aid:
I haven’t seen another kids video quite like it on EFT Tapping, not that I’ve searched, but they mostly seem to show someone working with a child which can feel awkward and slightly pantomime.
Whereas this shows the teacher’s delight at the difference EFT has made for his classes and the a knock-on-effect it’s indirectly given him, as you’ll find out when you click through to watch.
