As seen last time META-Medicine Health Coaching refers to a clearly defined blueprint of the brain so that we can cut out time spent looking in the ineffectual places.
This is because the brain and body connection knows exactly what is going on and is trying it’s best to communicate it’s hidden message to us through our symptoms. I know it sounds bizarre, but just bear with, as the lady says, because it’s based in science and will make more sense as you read through..
Understanding What’s Wrong With You
So let’s find out a bit more about how this works by examining the disease process, which sits on western medicine’s Autonomic Nervous System, containing the Sympathetic (Active Stress) Phase and the Parasympathetic (Regenerative) Phase where both show up in the body in very different ways.
The Two Phases Of Disease
META-Medicine recognizes there are two-phases-of-disease and this is broken up into 9-stages:
A conflict shock occurs (UDIN) see below for the full definition.
The body goes into stress which can be identified by cold extremities, interrupted sleep patterns, an issue plays round in the head. Mostly we feel okay but there are some diseases such as panic attacks and depression that show up at this stage.
The Reversal Point is when something occurs to alleviate the original shock and the mind/body system feels relief.
Most physical symptoms arrive, such as pain, feeling tired, fever, infection and this is when we go to see the doctor.
The symptoms reach a height of intensity called the Healing Crisis (HC). This can be quite scary depending on the presenting symptoms but can range anywhere from a headache to a full-blown heart attack for example.
On the other side of the HC the symptoms start to release and this is when you need to eat wholesome foods, get plenty of rest, keep warm and not do too much either.
Of course the therapeutic interventions can be applied at any stage throughout the model. But if a condition is the sort of chronic condition that comes and goes, it will continue to recur until its been identified and ousted.
Return to ‘norm’.
What this tells us
This system allows the health practitioner to uncover whereabouts a client is within the disease process, because each symptom can be explained as to why it is there. And likewise a layperson can glean insight and learn how to deal with their issues through a greater conscious awareness.
And the reason is because every pimple, cold, epidemic, headache, pain, disease and terminal condition has a reason leaving clues as to it’s innate cause. Most diseases are chronic and this model interprets the pattern which is how it manages to provide such an informed outcome.
The UDIN moment
The conflict shock is defined thus:
- N=no coping strategy
This helps you learn what caused your condition in the first place and by digging out all the emotional tracks and triggers, which ultimately prevents it from returning.
The domino effect
META-Medicine makes this important distinction because as a shock affects an organ the whole body’s energy network takes a hit, and the stronger the hit the deeper and stronger the impact and it’s subsequent effect.
But what happens as your body goes into stress is that your whole life-landscape can change dramatically, where you become downward spiraling instead of upwardly so.
You may no longer want to bother with people, work or hobbies that you previously loved. Your social and environmental interests can take a complete u-turn as an effect of the stress-phase.
The disease process
If you’ve ever had manic-depression symptoms, even your sexual preferences may have changed, and if you’ve experienced this yourself you’ll have some insight as to the ramifications these symptoms can inflict.
As a UDIN occurs at Stage 2 (of the 2-phases) it kick-starts the disease process and is where your practitioner’s detective skills are brought into play. Another way to think about a UDIN is when something happens that catches you off-guard.
Getting free of an issue with META-Medicine and identifying what created it, where there can be many associations (depending on how long and how many other conditions have gathered in the meantime) enable you to clear the disease from being re-triggered.
This approach reduces time spent addressing insignificant issues, which avoids you being led down blind alleys while getting you own personal insights.
